Things To Do

During the Conference

  • Eddy Street Commons, directly adjacent to the south side of the Notre Dame campus, offers several shops, bars and restaurants.
  • The Morris Inn has a full-service bar and an outdoor terrace with seating and firepits.
  • For exercise, the Notre Dame campus is virtually traffic-free, with walking/jogging paths around the two campus lakes. Guest passes can be provided for the fitness center in the Duncan Student Center.

Before or After the Conference

For those who may arrive a day or two before the conference, or stay a day or two afterward:

  • The Studebaker Museum, about 3 miles south of campus, features dozens of vintage cars and carriages manufactured by the now-defunct South Bend automaker, including the carriage Abraham Lincoln rode in to Ford’s Theater.
  • There are two golf courses at Notre Dame, a 9-hole, par 35 course on the west side of the campus, and on the north side the Warren Course, a Ben Crenshaw-designed, par 72 championship track that hosted the 2019 U.S. Senior Open.
  • The new Four Winds Casino and Hotel (site of the Wednesday evening dinner for the conference) has multiple restaurants and blackjack, poker, roulette, slots and more.
  • Howard Park, near downtown South Bend, includes a restaurant and plenty of activities for kids.
  • The Potawatomi Zoo is Indiana’s first zoo and home to more than 400 animals.
  • The pristine shores of Lake Michigan are just 45 minutes away – to either St. Joseph or New Buffalo, Michigan.
